So this, a bit late i know, is the last summer-page entry. It was a great summer and i thank all of my friends who did all those fun things with me, like bridge jumping/finger-wrecking, midnight skinny dippin', Brake stands and speed boat skippin'... the list goes on, but the fall is here, so i'm goin' back to the winter-page. Until next summer, here's a few random shots.

The weather in NH this weekend has been as close to perfect as i've seen in a long time. And the leaves are at peak colors taboot. Seth and i took his boat out on the always amazing lake Sunapee and here are a few pics.

Fletch-Fest 2006 was a success and i have some people that need to be known and thanked, because without their help and hard work, there is no way it would have been as successful as it was... Bob and Hal Fletcher, Matt and Andrew Hoekstra, Jim Whelan, Mike Griggs, David Foster, Teddy, Matt Stanley, Shane, Owen, Dan, Paul and Judy Vallari, Sue sawyer, Jan Palm, Karl Serzans, Tabitha (and all the other fine folks that helped at the front gate), Lance, The Warner Police dept. and all the performers... Mini Jacket, Tyler road, Lamont Smooth, The Mystery Button, Turtlebone, Michael Crane, The Vipers, Dan Blakeslee, Sean Parcels, Derek Astles and John Holden and of course my band-mates Beechwood.
Thank You all so much for working so hard and making this event a weekend to remember! Like my brother said on his blog... "Every single smiling face was a direct result of your hard-work." It is so true!
I also want to thank the 200+ people who shared the field and the weekend with us... I met so many cool people! Thanks!
We are already discussing what is going to improve next year, so i hope y'all will put us on your calender for the weekend before Labor Day!

Directions to the festival

From points south... Get on 89 North in Bow, NH and continue north to exit 9 in Warner, NH. Take a left off the exit (pass the McDonald's) and drive 1 mile until you see Mill St. on your right. Go down that street (very short) And at the stop sign, continue to the right (after stopping) Then take your immediate left over the river and under the highway bridges. Continue for about 1/4 of a mile and Waldron Hill Rd. will be on your left. Drive politely up to the top of the hill and as soon as it turns to dirt look for the gate on your left. Admission is $10 per person whether you are staying for the day or weekend. There will be portable toilets on-site as well as food and water, but bring your own supplies too. Please be kind to the property, so this can happen every year. We really look forward to seeing some good ol' friends and making some new ones so bring your tent, supplies and a smile.

I was on a trip to the great northeast kingdom of VT the other day to see about some business and came real close to Coventry, so i just had to take some time and go back... It was an extremely surreal moment, standing there in the fields alone... Where two years ago, my bother and i (and 65,000 phriends) had one of the most adventurous and exciting weekends of my life. Sadly, the only remnants are the upside-down trees and the wagon that sits tattered in the parking lot of the Newport Airport... other than that it's just a cow field, near an airport... I put some grass in my pocket, crouched-down and touched the ground... then moved-on... Thanks again boys! Here's a nice picture of the crew that made it such a fun weekend for me... just down the hill from the trees.

another friday night at "River Beach"

We arrived at the boat launch with litnin' flashing all around... but within an hour we were on the river beach swimming, grilling and playing frisbee! Another perfect summer night. Here's a cool pic of Seth, Dave and Katie.... nice rainbow behind them too.

Jon Fishman!!!

As i stood in line to pay for my diesel tonight in Bow, NH i turned around to see who had just walked up behind me and to my amazement one of my biggest heros in the world is standing there smiling with his slurpie and chips... Jon Fishman was so kind and gracious to me, telling me stories outside of how he had just bought the ol' JEMP truck from the band for $5,000! He was on his way to his new farm in Maine. The truck that used to haul Phish's equipment around the country was now going to haul hay and manure around the farm. He also told me how he is building an old school ice box for a refrigerator in his new home. We talked about the new tour coming up with his friend "Willis" and he was surprisingly interested in what i did. He asked what i play and how long have i played...etc. I regrettably didn't think to offer my services if he ever needed someone! I was just in awe to be standing there talking with my favorite drummer! I will never forget it!

Phil Lesh, Trey, Mike and Benevento/Russo in VT

The rain came down all night, but it didn't stop any of us from having a blast! Phil Lesh had Steve Kimok and Joan Osborne on stage with him and they sounded so good...They rocked "Sugaree" like i've never seen! It was the best song of the night... Then Trey came out and did some tunes with them and it was great to see him and Kimok play off each other. Then my two favorite bass players in the world (Mike Gordon and Phil Lesh) jammed together for a bit. We (Max, Melissa and I) made our way into the over-stuffed beer garden where we found Wifta' totally hammered and havin' a blast... Can you find him in the picture?... Trey, Mike and the Duo took the stage for an absolutely amazing two sets ending the night with a jaw-dropping version of Who Are You (THE WHO) with Page McConnell on 2nd Keys and Mike on the acoustic guitar (briefly) and an Awesome fireworks display! Unreal... The who could not have done it better! It was an amazing night of music!

My good friend "Joey Chiccaroni" and I went down and saw the Red Sox last night...Breaking my 20 year streak! Seriously...I have not seen a Red Sox game since the '86 World Series at Shae Stadium against The Mets! We all remember Buckner...Well it was a different story last night...Pedro got his standing "O" and then we Kicked the shit out of him and his Mets! Here are some pics...not the best quality, but still ok.

My brother-in-law Steve came to help me mount a power-trim unit on my boat last weekend and it came out great! Here's a cool pic of the set-up. It was like summer in May! The girls had their first picnic on the boat Too!

Hi...well, the winterpage was cool, but now the sun is shining and i want to pay homage to that, so here is my summer and the friends and family i will spend it with! I hope someone other than me enjoys it!
